Music favorites: May edition

Hello~! ^-^
I continue showing my TOP 5 songs of the month. Some of the songs I have been listening for quite a while now, others are my new "addiction". As I have done the previous times, I will write down the songs in no particular order. Just in a way they come to me kkk~

1. 갓세븐 - 따라와 /GOT7 - Follow me
This is the 2nd group I have started to like right after their debut (which was this January). The 1st one was B.A.P, of course ^-^ "따라와" is my favorite song from GOT7 album "Got It". *I like it mostly because of the Mark`s rap ^-^` He is too cool, really! He literally flies with all this acrobatics and martial art tricks*. Anyway, back to the song...  It doesn`t have an official music video, but guys made a video at last (10th) episode of their show - "Real Got7". So check it out!

Aren`t they too cute? ;o

2. 투애니원/ 2NE1 - Crush
Once again, there is a video from 2NE1`s live, there you can see them performing this song *and it is amazing performance!* I listen "Crush" at least once a day lol The song is super catchy and it makes you want to dance along with girls, especially after watching their live kkk The song and performance together give a strong energy boost? so it is impossible not to move. And yes, girls are the best! Without any more words, just watch it:

Are you dancing? ;p

3. 갓세븐 - 난 니가 좋아 / GOT7 - I like you
Again, the rap part of this song is awesome, Mark and Jackson killed it. And the very beginning with Yugyeom`s rap was cool, yet kinda funny lol He can`t act sexy being the maknae. hahaha sorry~
Anyways, there two dance practice videos you can watch to understand my feelings keke

these dorks lol

4. 악동뮤지션 (AKMU) - 얼음들 / AKMU (Akdong Musician) - Melted
The song is beautiful itself, but with the MV, it leaves even stronger feeling. AKMU has debuted a month ago and already this brother/sister duo made many people like them. *you cannot stay emotionless hearing girl`s angelic voice and boy`s dorky rap*. Check their MV below, and don`t forget a pack of tissues, you might need them!

5. Drake - The Motto ft. Lil Wayne, Tyga
Okey.. Kinda unexpected, right? ahaha But I have a story to explain how the hell this kind of song got into my TOP 5. And of course, the story is connected with some K-pop stuff. >-<`
The reason of why I am so into this song, is Team B (aka YG trainees). In the 4th (if i am not mistaken) episode of WIN: Who Is Next show (wanna see YG future groups? Watch the show!), there was a battle YG vs. JYP trainees. Team B performed dance routine to the Drake song. The dance itself was awesome and flawless *IMHO*, and I like the song a lot too. That`s why I have to check the original. ^^  YOLO~!!!

the original - beware of explicit lyrics! I have warned you!

Team B dance ^-^

That`s it, guys! See you~ Enjoy the music ;p

Update or what the hell have I been doing all this time?!

Hello~hello~! ^^`
*trying not to look guilty*
It has been a long time I had posted my last entry. And since the end of November, 2013, there was no updates whatsoever. I guess I can name 2 main reasons of such continuous absence:

  1.  I am genuinely lazy person. Because of my laziness I have already missed so many opportunities in life! >-< But I couldn`t change my nature. At least, I can`t win my fight against laziness all the time. I think at the end of last year I had this major attack of "I-want-to-do-nothing-but-watching-anime\drama\Korean videos-all-the-time" *speaking in normal language, I had this huge "blast" of laziness*. So all I wanted to do was watching or reading *my life was pretty sad, yes*.
  2.  I need to have "an inspiration" before starting to write, so my posts won`t be extremely boring. And "inspiration" or special inner condition (call it as you wish) was something I lacked badly during this months. You might find it funny or stupid, but I believe it is wrong to write when you don`t feel like writing at all. Otherwise you will make a shitty material *wonder how bad my posts were all this time ahahaha*. Thus, I have been waiting patiently.

Besides of two not-so-real for someone reasons, I have also a decent one - I have changed my working place. I think you don`t know at all, but I have worked as a shop assistant for 2 years. And if you have an experience of working in the shop, you might understand my feelings pretty well. From the outside point of view, work in the shop is easy and even pleasant at some point. It isn`t true at all! *remember, i describe my own experience and feelings!* First of all, it was hard to stay on feet for 10-11 hours, with a little rest (you can`t sit during your work, only at small breaks 2 times a day). Secondly, I have became anti-social person working in the shop (or even sociopath) *like it is possible to stay away from people and being a human at the same time lol*. I really hated people as a "crowd", although I still liked to talk and spend time with family and friends. I became irritated and grumpy *and it wasn`t as cute as grumpy cat is ;p*.
Experiencing all of this, I have decided I didn`t want to wait any more and left this hell-of-a-working-place kkk Searching for a new job wasn`t easy. I had spent much time before I have found a perfect place for myself - a library. ^-^ Almost 6 months later, I can proudly call myself librarian. ;)
Guys, it is a huge difference between a job you do for money and a job you do for soul! I like reading a lot and working with and among books makes me happy and calm. I still communicate and deal with people, but this time it is another sort of communication. I guess I was luck enough to find a perfect balance, so I feel good every day.

I also continue preparing for my second (and definitely not last) trip to South Korea. I plan to go to Korea in October, so I have a lot of time to think about everything and to make this trip even better than the first one *is it possible?? haha because the 1st one was amazing! ^^*.

As for now, I hope the inspiration will stay with me and laziness won`t interfere my regular updates in this blog.

See you soon~! ^-^

Music favorites - November. MAMA

Hello~!
As half of the month has already passed, the time has come for Music favorites! ^-^ Last month I has some troubles writing a post about October, because I had more than usual 5 favorite songs. So that time I have done a TOP 7 of the month. Now I have exactly the opposite situation ~lol I have some new songs I like, but I have been listening mostly old ones. However, after some struggle, I have formed the TOP 5 of November~!! ^^`
As always, I will post the songs in no particular order.

1. 틴탑 "장난아냐" (Teen Top - Rocking)
The song has been released back in August. But i have really noticed it only at the end of October. Of course I have heard some tunes and lyrics from it earlier, but I guess i had to see the MV to understand how freaking cool the song (and especially dance) is!
Speaking about dance.. it is AWESOME!! This "free step" technique is so catchy that I whenever I see it I want to dance too ~haha The song is great too - fast and unique. *and it was the first time I have seen how hot the CAP is ahahha*

2. The Pretty Reckless "You make me wanna die"
I have always had a soft thing for bands with rock or metal music and female vocals. No wonder this band caught my attention. I have also heard some other songs, not just "You make me wanna die", but only this song was able to make it to my TOP 5. The MV isn`t fantastic *if only you aren`t a pervert enjoying a girl undressing herself*, but the songs itself is amazing (thought the lyrics are simple). Oh, and the song is quite old - it goes back to 2010.
Thumbs up for sexy blond vocals! ;p

3. 태양 "링가 링가"  (Taeyang - Ringa Linga)
This is definitely the great song!! 대박! The song + dance performance =
Some people might say that "Ringa Linga" isn`t a Taeyang style, but I have to disagree with that. I think it is a nice change from his usual style - i enjoyed his rapping and dancing a lot! O, about the choreography... There are two versions of MV for this song: the 1st one is dance performance, which came earlier, and the 2nd - the actual MV. In my opinion, the dance version was better. Sure, it is more simple, but it shows how perfectly the music and dance are combined.
It is kinda sad the song came out at the end of the year, otherwise it might win at different categories, for example, at MAMA.
Anyways, I will show two versions of MV and it is up to you to decide which one is better. ^_-

4. 인피니트 "파라다이스" (Infinite - Paradise)
The song is 2 years old (September, 2011), but i have discovered it *accidentally* a few weeks ago *shame on me! >-<`*  Since that time I have been listening it a lot. My favorite part is chorus and I can play it on repeat a hundred of times.. literally. lol

5. Deathstars "Metal"
Surprise~! No, not really. I am big fan of metal. I have been listening metal, power metal and black metal for more than 7 years now *just to compare - I am a fan of K-pop only for 3 years or something* Metal is my core. And Deathstars has been in the list of my favorite bands for ages. Their MVs are freaking awesome and they always have powerful live performances.
"Metal" is one of their latests MV (even though it was released 2 years ago t_t). Check it! Who knows, you might become a fan of powerful dark music too. ^-^

P.S. Guys, MAMA (Mnet Asian Music Awards) is coming~!!! Don`t miss the last chance to vote for your favorite artists!! Show how much you love them! Go and check the main page to support your artist -> HERE. The voting will be closed tomorrow and at the 22d (??) of November you can see MAMA 2013 live in Hong Kong~!!

Korean snacks

WARNING! Never ending post full of photos ;o
Hey, guys~! ^-^
Do you enjoy the November? Do you have a feeling that the Christmas is just around the corner? Not yet? lol I don`t have such feeling yet~ ;p I think it is too early to think about holiday.
So for today, I am planning to share some pictures of Korean snacks I have tried when I was in Seoul. I can`t really tell you about each food I ate, but if I have something to say about this particular snack, i will do that. ^^

뿌셔뿌셔 (whack whack) - this is a ramen with seasoning, which is supposed to be eaten dry (without adding boiled water). But before eating it you should crack the ramen inside of the pack *now you know why it is called like that kkk~*

i guess i don`t need to explain this snack lol you could find such cookies in your convenient store. This particular one is made by the well-known Korean company - Lotte (롯데)

신짱 (shinjjang) - sweet honey-flavored crisps. I wonder why the are called "못말리는" (unstoppable lol), because I was able only to eat a little of it, as it was too sweet and "filling" and I am usually a big sweet-tooth.

Now I know I don`t like Korean crisps ><` And by it I mean "made in Korea by Korean company" crisps. Why? I don`t know about other countries, but in Russia crisps are always salty + with different flavors. This Korean crisps (and others, as I have tried different brands and kinds) are SWEET. Like, what the hell?? t_t I would never ever buy them lol

참붕어빵 - literary translates as "real carp [looking] bread". It is sweet chewy cake with chocolate flavoring.

This are chewy caramel & chocolate flavor sweets. We have it in Russia, too. So I have bought it mostly because I wanted to compare. Now I can say - the sweets are the same in Russia and Korea ~keke + it was super cheap at Daiso 1000 Won (~1$).

This tastes the same as Snickers chocolate bar. But cheaper when it comes to price. ^_-

These are cookies with a buttery-cheese flavor. Because it doesn`t have just a cheese flavor ("butter" makes cookies more "filling", so you can`t actually eat a lot of it), it was difficult even to eat a couple of cookies. ><` But such snack will definitely save you from starvation lol

Comparing to the earlier mentioned Korean crisps, these ones were better. But. It can`t be even compared with the world-known brands, or even some Russian chips ;o p.s. "베이컨칩" means simple "bacon chips"

후렌치파이 (French pie) has nothing similar with "pie" *in my perception* - it doesn`t look that nice and it tastes not-so-delicious. You would want to waste your money on something else, believe me ^-^

"팥빙수" (patbingsu) - popular Korean "dessert"; consists of sweet red beans, lots of ice and some topping (might be marshmallow or jelly, for example). This is the best food for hot summer day, as it cools down and refreshes very good!

Don`t know what to say about it. It wasn`t the best food I have tried in Korea. And I won`t buy it second time.

Very good, "musli-like" snack. Healthy (fruits, nuts, berries, grains and yogurt) and convenient to use "on the go". d^^b

These were just a part of snacks and sweets I have tried in Korea. Overall I can say that sweet things in Russia are more tasty than in Korea. At this point I was kinda disappointed. However, there were some awesome super tasty things, like 팥빙수 (patbingsu) and 삼각킴밥 (triangle kimbap - i haven`t shown this one), which I love so much. I will buy it again and not just a one time for sure! ^-^ As you can notice, the most tasty snacks are "traditional" Korean snacks, which you can`t usually find in other countries, but in Korea. So, if you are planning to visit Korea, I recommend you to try it!

p.s. What are your favorite snacks? ^-^

Seoul for soul. Pt.4. Yonsei University

Annyeong~! ^-^
I have already posted an entry about Ewha Womans University (이화여자대학교), which was truly beautiful. However close to Ewha there is situated another well-know and great Korean University - Yonsei University. Yonsei is as beautiful as Ewha is, but it is even more bigger (the territory) - this is the real small town! Yonsei is more popular *and cheaper! lol* among foreign students. So if you are looking for some Korean language courses, i would recommend you to check the Yonsei University. ^-^ As the territory of the Yonsei is huge, I have got tired walking around it  *lol bad stamina~ not really, but i started to feel tired way faster during hot weather >-<`* But it is definitely worth seeing!
연세대학교 (Yonsei University) - is a private research university located in SeoulSouth Korea. Established in 1885, it is one of the oldest universities in South Korea, and is widely regarded as the top private school in the country. In fact, many of South Korea's most influential politicians, lawyers, physicians, engineers, professors, and policy makers have graduated from Yonsei University.  As a tribute, the name 'Yonsei' was derived from the first syllables of the names of its two parent institutions, 'Yon; 연; 延' from Yonhi College and 'Sei; 세; 世' from Severance Union Medical College(c) wikipedia
Oh, and right near the University there is a huge Severance hospital building, which is closely connected with Yonsei.
Anyway, let me show some photos I have made walking around Yonsei University. ~^-^

this is the entrance to Yonsei~
